About the Course
The Tennessee Valley Canoe Club is proud to partner with H2O Dreams Paddling School to offer a Swiftwater Rescue Course designed exclusively for women.
This is the first time H2O Dreams has held their professional rescue course on the Ocoee River -- making this event a unique opportunity to train with the best in a familiar, accessible location.
H2O Dreams is widely recognized as one of the top SWR instruction providers in the Southeast. They've generously extended their club rate to us, meaning you’ll receive high-level instruction at a discounted price -- and without needing to travel all the way to Saluda, NC.
This course will be taught on the Ocoee River, but no named rapids will be run during instruction. We’ll be using the slower-moving water by the commercial takeout.
Who Should Attend
This course is open to all female paddlers looking to gain essential rescue skills, whether you're a beginner hoping to build confidence or a seasoned boater wanting to refresh and refine your techniques. You do not need to be a TVCC member to attend.

You’ll need the following equipment to fully participate. All items are available at outfitters like Gearhead Outfitters, Nantahala Outdoor Center, and Endless River Adventures.
